Things To Do
Mohamed and Ahmed can arrange itineraries, including other areas of Morocco through their extensive contacts so please do not hesitate to ask. Examples of activities include......

-
Many walks and treks in the local area eg. the walk to Lake Tamda across Medium difficulty terrain takes around 4.5 hours there and 2.5 hours back. The September 2023 Earthquake has fractured the lake and there is no longer much water left in it.
-
The village hammam (bathhouse) may be open during your stay. Please ask about availability as this helps support the village and is a sustainable tourism project which won the Responsible Tourism award from the Moroccan government in 2012. There are information sheets about using the hammam at the Kasbah.
-
Hire mules to do walks further afield (which provides local employment)
-
Visit Telouet Kasbah
-
Bourciod's minibus is quite an adventure!
-
Souk day (Thursday) to go and see what a real village souk is like with no pushy stall holders
-
Visit a family for tea and cake or a meal and giving the money to the lady of the house to spend on things for herself or her children, spreading the benefit of tourism
-
Star gazing! One of the best places for this as there is so little street lighting so no light pollution
-
Learn to make bread, tagine, couscous in the Kasbah or in a village home
-
Camping
-
Village football matches (very popular with visiting children and village children alike)
-
Get involved in the Tighza project, find out more on our Projects page

There are many more things to do, just ask and we'll can see what we can do.
